LOUTRO | CRETE

20.8.16

Hi guys... I am back from my holidays in Crete, Greece.
I traveled to Chania for a few days so I went to explore a bit of Crete island.
First stop was this beautifull small village in the south west of Crete, Loutro.
The word Loutro in greek means 'bath", they put this name because of the many ancient baths founded in the area.
The only way to arrive to this village is going by ferryboat, so we drove from Chania until Chora Sfakion, where we took the boat. There are as well bus available from Chania city center to go there.
The journey by boat took about 20 minutes, and we saw many caves on the mountains,  it was amazing and very relaxing.
On this village there isn't cars.
The small village has lots of restaurants with fresh fish and a few hotels to stay.
The beaches are with rocks and the sea water is super blue and clear, as you see on the pictures.
Loutro is a really popular place in Crete so it is full of tourists.
I really liked the houses, because they are all white with the windows and doors in blue, like in the other greek islands.
Is a really nice place to visit and relax, I really recommend it.

Sooner I will post here the other places that I visit.

Lots of kisses
Elisabete
