As you saw it on previous post Sevilla is a beautiful city full of monuments and history.
We were there for only one day bu we manage to see the main touristic places.
On this post I show you the pictures from Plaza de España, the Maria Luisa Park, the Espacio Metropol Parasol and the last one is one door from the Cathedral of Sevilla.
Plaza de España is a square in the middle of Maria Luisa Park built in 1928, designed by Aníbal González, the walls around of the square are filled with tiles and each different section represents a different province of Spain. There is a small river around the square, where you can go if you rent a small boat.
I was amazed when I entered the square, I never saw something like this.
The Maria Luisa Park is a beautiful garden, with many pounds and fountains, is a nice place to walk during the day, because inside the park is very fresh and with lots of shadow, the entrance is for free.
At the end of the day we went to this new architecture called Metropol Parasol, the entrance costed 3 euros and you could have a free drink in the bars around the place with the ticket, and a free post card :).
Metropol Parasol is a wooden structure, and it was designed by a German architecture Jürgen Mayer, it was finished in April 2011 and it claims to be the biggest wooden structure in the world. Is height is approximately 26 metres. Its something very original and extraordinary, the view is amazing and you can see a big part of Sevilla city.
The food is Sevilla in my opinion was better then in Cordoba, we ate tapas again and at lunch time we ate the tipical "Menu del dia" again. In Spain the "Menu del dia" consist always in 2 different plates, where you can have something lighter for the starter and something more heavy for the main plate.
We ate tapas in the restaurant Postiguillo, it was very tasty the food, I really recommend it.
Our favourite drink on this trip was sangria :), who doesn't like it???
Both cities Cordoba and Sevilla were very similar, both of them have many small streets in the old town centre and all the houses are white with some yellow tones. The parking for the car is a bit difficult, but with patience you can find something :)
I like both of the cities, but I was more excited to see Sevilla, because it's been many years that I wanted to go there, and finally I manage :)
Again I say the same thing for Sevilla, the accommodation you can find many things from cheap hotels until very expensive ones and for the restaurants as well, so if you want to make a budget trip you can do it as well.
I think is a great destination for all portugueses to go there because is not so far away from Portugal.
I loved my experience in Spain.
Gracias a todos
Muchos saludos
Elisabete
