"THE WORLD IS A BOOK AND THOSE WHO NOT TRAVEL READ ONLY ONE PAGE"

Weekends are the days that I use to travel around the island and to take the pictures from my blog, so a few weekends ago I decided that I wanted to do something different from the usual.
"Berengaria" The Abandoned Hotel was already on my bucket list for a while, so I said to myself, let's go to Troodos Mountains (I never go there), and to not make a trip so long to visit just one place  I search for a nice village near there, and I found this one.
Kakopetria is a small village that stand an altitude of 667 metres and is the highest village on the Solea Valley, it has aproximetly 1,200 inhabitants.
The village is small. but it has all the basic needs, hotels, restaurants, banks, cafes, so you can go there for a nice trip and have a lunch, like we did, I heared that the most famous restaurant is "THE MILL", it's situated on the terrace of a hotel and you can see all the landscape from Kakopetria.
The village has a small waterfall and a nice trail beside the river, when you can enjoy a nice walk and breath the fresh air.
TIP: don't forget to bring a warm jacket with you, on the mountains is colder, I have learned my lesson :)
