KRKA NATIONAL PARK

11.9.17

Krak National Park is one of Croatian natural parks, named after the river Krka, located in central Dalmatia, very close to Sibenik city.

The day before we slept in Sibenik city to manage to go earlier to the park, but at the end we arrived there at 12, because we wanted to see Sibenik during the day too.
Some people suggest that the best time was going  there earlier in the morning, but we didn't find any problem when we arrived there.
They have a huge parking for the cars for free.

As you can see in the pictures the park was full of people.
We paid 25 euros for the entrance, in August the price is higher, I found it a  bit too much, but we wouldn't go away from Croatia without visiting one of their National Parks.
The other one very famous as well, is Plitvice Lakes National Park, I believe that the entrance fee is the same, but you can't swim, that's why we chose this one, and as well because was on our way.

When we arrived there, there are some buses that took us to the entrance of the lakes. It takes like 10 minutes, but if you want there is a trail path as well until there.
The guide there told us that we need two hours to go around, but honestly I think one hour you can do it.
The amazing waterfalls that you see behind me are the last spot, but if you don't want to make all the trail there are some shortcuts.

They have some food and souvenir shops near to the waterfalls, but we preferred to take some food with us, and we ate on the many tables that they have there.
The only thing that I didn't like, was that the area was full of dust, so don't take anything white, because it will get black soon.

The water was a bit cold, like in all Croatia, and was a bit dangerous, because was very slippery the rocks underneath the water, but is not very deep their.

When we left the park, we saw that they had sold 8000 tickets that day, just for you to be aware of how many people they visit per day that place.

It was a nice experience.
