Hello people... so on the second day we went to Balos beach on of the most famous beach In Crete.
Balos is famous for its turquoise waters, the wild natural beauty and the beautiful exotic scenery.
There are two ways to get there, by car or by ferryboat.
If you take the ferryboat from the village Kissamos you would arrive exactly on the beach, as you can see on the first picture, if you go by car you need to go very early to find parking near to the entrance of the beach, otherwise you will need to walk maybe 2, 3 km until you arrive to the entrance, because they are many many tourists going to this beach.
After you arrive to the entrance, you still need to walk down the hill for about more 20 minutes.
The way to the beach is not easy and is a bit tiring, and of course the hot weather doesn't help a lot :p, but everybody can do it, the ferryboat is a more convenient option but more expensive.
The road until the beach is not a normal street so we needed to drive very slow, on the way there we saw many wild goats.
The view from the beach was the most beautiful thing that I ever saw until now, is like we are in the paradise.
The waters are so clear and warm and the beach is white sand, there are no big waves.
The only thing that they don't have is a nice restaurant to eat, they just have a very tiny kiosk where you can buy some drinks and snacks, so if you pretend to stay all day there, is better to bring some food with you.
with love
Elisabete
